i've watched, well am watching the superbowl if the first time in gosh i don't know how many years. this in fact does include the half time show. yeah i haven't watched that in forever either. odd right? that one play was absolutely insane.

i also went to t & p to drop off my work for the friday opening. as well as help out i mainly taped stuff, and my dad came and spackled and taped. it was pretty fun. and gina is incredibly nice and cool to talk too. and i found out some older info about the space which was pretty awesome as well.

now to finish watching the superbowl, and finish up type studies for problem solving tomorrow.

so i am not going to work tonight, to hang out and/or work. as well as sell jewelry. it's gross out, slushy, and is supposed to freeze. plus i've had enough excitement on the el for one day. just a waste since i got a lot of supplies on sunday, and made a bunch of stuff. oh well, i'll throw it up on etsy or something. for now i'm adding it onto my flickr. i still have necklaces to photograph.

so instead of doing homework, i was sitting around working on some jewelry. not the best design, buttttttttttt my work is having a party on wednesday, and they said if i would like i could bring some of my jewelry to sell. woo. :D

plus my only homework, is to fix my thing for my thesis. ick. i need to sketch it, cause doing it on the computer so isn't working for me. i don't like it. plus get images/color schemes and such for my independent study. which i already found a lot of images for so that's good. yeah.

oh! i also need to get on top of scanning/photographing my work for portfolio. yikes the check ups are feb. 3rd and 6th. man i need to get on that. ha.

i went back to school on tuesday. my studio class felt like it was never ever ending. i have to get used to those six hours again. plus the other class being let out way early didn't help either. ha. i'm a little excited for class today, screen printing! man i just hope i know someone in it. bleh. and i haven't felt like doing homework at alllllll, not so good.

the eagles lost. of course. that's not shocking at all. but even after desean jackson got that touchdown and brought up their score to 25 beating by one point. i really thought they had a chance after that. but nope they didn't. i feel bad for brian dawkins, i at least wanted them to win so he could get that ring. to be with the eagles for so long, and might not be in football much longer, it would have been nice for him. and i think it would have been better to just not get that touchdown, instead of getting hopes up, only to fall back down possibly harder. and i'm quite surprised when mcnabb was talking on the clip they showed on the news last night he didn't sound like an idiot for once. i was completely shocked.

i'm not an eagles fan, cause i like hate mcnabb, and reid. but people were complaining about me wearing my phillies hoodie, and hat. so i was like fine whatever! but i'm putting my shirt over my phillies hoodie. so in the end i could have been supporting the eagles, or giants. ha.

so the sideshow was good. lots of really cool work. i talked to jon, one of the owners and his girlfriend most of the time i was there. they're both really nice.

i really need to start doing thesis and portfolio work before i go back to school. ugh. maybe tonight or tomorrow or something. i don't know. i have however started looking at different studios websites a week or two ago. to see where i'd like to work and such. i've found a few in philadelphia, some in new york (i've alway been eh about that before now, cause it seems cliche, but hey if i get a job there then i do, i'm not going to be against it anymore.) as well as one or two in california, and one in colorado. i don't know how i feel about those two, but hey it doesn't mean i'll get a job there but i guess they are options.

i did postcards/posters a while back for lift detroit's winter munny show, and well they decided to use my design. which is pretty awesome in the first place, and today i received a package which included some of those postcards, AND the miss november 1978 toy. sweet.

bleh i'm getting tired, so i'm gonna post this quick. but i'm sure as soon as i get in bed i'll be wide awake. ugh. the past two days have been spent on and off working on this. since it's six colors, so that's like five stencils. and it's my first ever multiple layered one. i'm happy with it. here's just a few quick pictures.

wow, it seems incredibly odd to be off from work. we were closed yesterday, and then today she said i didn't need to come in. i don't think i ever had a full saturday off since july. it's weird, but nice. i just wish i had something to do. i really wanna go to nyc before i go back to school, but some people don't like to respond to me anymore.

i need to get spray paint, hm maybe tomorrow hopefully. as well as stop by a gallery in south philly. blah so bored. oh! i did update my deviantART.

so during my fall semester i took a book production class, since i figured it'd be good for me because of my major and i'd get prepress experience. i had made a book focused on boomboxes with graffiti. and i'm happy with how it turned out.

and i had cut stencils and such out last night, started putting them on canvas today, and ugh. not completely happy with it so far at all. i need to do a lot of touch ups, and one thing is slightly slanted. and obviously this is why when i start getting back into it, i need to keep it up, and not completely stop each time. bleh.

my first semester of senior year finished last week. and of course it was a stressful week. my computer decided to start acting up the end of the week before, so i went without a computer till today besides at work and such. my hard drive was the problem. oh computers. but all in all despite breakdowns, i'm happy with my grades.

uh in the end of october? beginning on november? ugh i have no idea, sometime i took a whole bunch of new stuff to bohema. so hopefully that is going well. ali is so nice. :)

i'm gonna try to update this more often since i'm on break, and no longer have to update my makeup blog anymore. especially since i'll try to post some of my school work from this semester, which includes a boombox book that i made that i love! i have like a billion copies of it. geez i have 30 or so? put together, and then in crit my teacher gave me an amazing idea to make it so you can rip the pages apart to send, or just hang up. love it. i bought the blade hoping i could just do that but alas apparently i need the other part. hmp i'll have to get it this weekend or something.

and i bought some canvases to paint. trying to get back into my stenciling since i haven't in like forever. okay, well the last time was october or so for a bag, and a t-shirt, but before that it's been god i have no idea how long. plus i wanna try to get into a show.

oh! and i know before i posted about jobs and internships. i am still at my job, and my internship lasted a month if that. it was more nerve wrecking, and me just sitting there bored out of my mind alone more than anything.

go get yourself down to bohema, and buy stuff! haha. i dropped off a bunch of bottlecap pendants, pins, hairclips, earrings, and bracelets. so go check them out, and the rest of the store. it's pretty amazing, and they're quite nice people too! :) it's located at 6152 ridge ave. and the outside is painted in wonderful colors that make me think of cotton candy. mmm.

jobs, internships, etc.

i've been a bit all around the place lately. atlantic city, concerts, getting a job, and then today starting an internship. whew. both of which were unexpected but exciting. i really like my job. everyone is so nice, and i work three days a week. and now with the internship, oh god. i was incredibly nervous, and sure i still will be next week and such. but everyone i've met is nice, and keep saying i'll love it there. i'm sure i will. it's a huge opportunity. and im sure if i would have went looking for it, i probably wouldn't have found it. so basically from now on my week will be split up between being at FUEL and thread. it's exciting. i don't even remember what i last updated about, did i mention some of my necklaces are at mew gallery? if not, they are. and bohema wants me to bring more jewelry, i have a bunch to take down. uh, i feel like i'm forgetting something? well anyway, hopefully i start updating this again soon. shane jessup show tomorrow at jinxed after work which i'm totally excited to see. and i desperately need to redo my website completely.

i've been having a lot of fun with marbles, and clay. as is shown above. i've made i don't know how many, and just wanna keep making them. ahhhh. still looking for a job, and just emailed two more galleries. so we'll have to see how that goes. i also want to attempt trying to do resin plugs soon as well. :)

i went to mew gallery (http://mewgallery.org) today, to sign the papers for the consignment and drop my jewelry off. it's such a cute place. and from what i saw they have pretty awesome stuff. i'll have to go again to just look around and maybe go to sabrina's since leanne said they have good food. hm. so she picked out twenty for now, which is pretty awesome. yesterday i was doing the cord and such for them since i had gotten more on sunday. and oh my god. my hands were cramping, my fingers hurt a ton and sheesh. haha. but i got them done of course. :)
